Refund and cancellation policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
This policy explains when we refund a purchase on https://yololo.lol. It is part of our Terms of Service. Game mechanics are also summarised in Rules.
Operator: the operator of yololo.lol. For a refund request, write from the email you used at checkout and include the receipt or order ID from the merchant of record.
What you are buying
You buy a one-time sponsored homepage placement (the crown) at a price fixed when checkout starts: double the last confirmed purchase, or the starting price if the throne is empty. You do not buy a prize, a payout, or a timed exclusive that we promise will last a set number of days.
Cancellation before you pay
You can close checkout without paying. No charge, no placement. There is nothing to cancel after that.
After payment is confirmed
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds because:
- you changed your mind;
- you do not like the placement, the Site, or how long you held the crown;
- someone else paid the next price and replaced you;
- your payment was confirmed after someone else already took the crown at the same locked-in price (you were outraced);
- we removed your name, link, or message for violating the acceptable-use rules in the Terms.
That last race case is how the product works. Two people can start checkout at the same price; only the first confirmed payment gets the placement. The later confirmed payment is still charged and is not refunded by us.
Exceptions we will honour
We will refund, or our merchant of record will refund, when:
- The law requires it in your country, including any mandatory consumer cooling-off right that actually applies to this digital service. Many digital services you ask to start immediately are not cancellable after performance has begun.
- The merchant of record’s buyer-protection or dispute rules require it. Checkout is run by a payment provider acting as merchant of record. If they require a refund, chargeback, or reversal, that decision is followed. We do not control card-network disputes.
- We never received a confirmed paid event for your checkout (for example the payment failed, expired, or was voided by the provider). In that case there was no completed sale, so there is nothing to refund, and the crown does not change hands.
- We charged you in error for a duplicate or clearly broken checkout that we can verify on our side (same provider payment applied twice, or a confirmed payment we cannot match to any challenge). Contact us with the receipt and approximate time of payment.
Asking for a refund because you lost the race, or because you no longer want the spot, is not an error.
How to ask
Write from the email used at checkout and include:
- approximate time and amount;
- the provider receipt or order ID if you have it.
We will check our records against the provider. If the request falls under an exception above, we will refund through the original payment method where the provider allows it. We aim to reply within 7 days. Card-network chargebacks are handled by the merchant of record. There is no subscription and no cancel-subscription button.
Chargebacks
If you open a chargeback for a completed, correctly priced purchase (including an outraced payment), we may share checkout and timestamp records with the merchant of record. Repeated abuse may lead to us blocking further checkouts.
